Express Care is back at ProHealth Physicians

Feeling sick? Don’t wait to feel better. Our Express Care clinicians are ready to help. They offer fast, quality care for everyday illnesses and injuries as an exclusive service for all ProHealth patients.

Though we no longer have Express Care centers, our esteemed Express Care clinicians are now part of our primary care teams.

They work alongside, but do not replace, your primary care provider (PCP). If your PCP is fully booked, don’t worry. We offer same- and next-day Express Care appointments.

You’ll get the care you need and your PCP will have access to your visit information when needed. ProHealth patients can call or book online. Express Care visits are available in person or virtually on weekdays, by appointment only.

Branford: birth through age 21

Danbury: ages 18+

Farmington: ages 4+

Glastonbury: all ages, including newborns

Manchester: ages 4+

Meriden: all ages, including newborns

Middletown: all ages, including newborns

Your health is our priority. If you need help, please call us first. We can direct you to the right place to go for care. In the case of a life-threatening condition, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room (ER).

If you suddenly get sick or hurt and need help quickly but it's not serious enough for an ER visit, our Express Care team is here for you. Seeing them at one of our offices can be a lower-cost, convenient alternative to the ER.

As a ProHealth patient, we already have your medical records. Plus, you'll pay the same copay that you would if you saw your PCP.* You'll get care that's coordinated, familiar and tailored just for you.

Schedule with an Express Care clinician for:

  • Cough, cold and flu
  • Sore throat
  • Sinus infection
  • Earache
  • Bronchitis
  • UTI
  • Poison ivy and rashes
  • Sprains and strains
  • Cuts, bruises and wounds

Always schedule with your PCP for:

  • Annual exams
  • Health screenings
  • Management of chronic issues, like diabetes and high cholesterol

Our goal is to help get you seen quickly, with shorter wait times than the ER. Our dedicated health care team works together so you feel better, faster.

*ProHealth accepts most major health plans including Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE. Please check with your insurance before your visit to make sure your care is covered.
